THE GOOD OLD DAYS
March 25, 2012
Dear Friends, Family and Fans,
HOT NEWS:
Lots of exciting news this week! First Stan has written his quarterly new blog post on his home page http://stanlyndeauthor.com/ and the photo above is a sample from the new post. The gentleman on the left is Bill Mills, an old time cowboy that worked for Stan's dad and was the inspiration for his beloved Hipshot from his syndicated cartoon strip Rick O'Shay. You will want to read this latest post and be inspired by memories of yesteryear.
Summer Snow is now available in the Amazon Kindle store for the amazing low price of $2.99. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&field-keywords=summer+snow+by+stan+lynde Summer Snow in paperback low price of $9.99. http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Snow-Merlin-Fanshaw-Western/dp/0615590802/ref=sr_1_3_title_0_main?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1332630482&sr=1-3 |
Exciting event coming soon! Once a month you can Meet the Author: Stan Lynde Western Author Chat Room at his web site. We hope you will set aside time for this wonderful opportunity just one week away for the first chat and then every month the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. with a new topic each month. The first online Chat is not far off…save April 2nd 7-8 p.m. MDT to talk online with Stan. I would suggest those that have not been online to a chat room to get signed up before hand so that you don't suffer from anxiety like Stan and I do when we try out something new. Go to http://stanlynde.net/chat-room_290.html and click on the white box at the bottom of the chat room and it will (or should) pop a link with the sign up form to fill out (yes, it is quite a simple form). You can come in with your own name, or be anonymous. Or use your 'handle' as some members of western groups have for themselves. Once you try it, I think you will be hooked. It really can be fun and you can test your western knowledge on Stan, or pick up some interesting facts.
SOS. We hope you can help! In order to be considered for Amazon's Encore program we need more written book reviews. It's Amazon's method of looking at promising authors who have devoted fans and good books. If you've read any of Stan's novels or in particular Marshal of Medicine Lodge, we would sure appreciate a written review (and it doesn't have to be long, just sincere). You can post a review at http://www.amazon.com/Marshal-Medicine-Lodge-Fanshaw-Western/product-reviews/1466348925/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1. (Sorry, last week I posted the wrong link.) My goal is to make this process simple, but I confess I am…human. If you haven't read this particular Merlin Fanshaw novel, you can choose one to write about that you have read. We love reading your reviews!

And lastly, yes our blog was once again under attack by the Internet thieves. It took us three days and a whole lot of stress and effort to right the ship again. This time we have added malware security to our blog. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We have given the case of finding the Internet holdup gang to Merlin and Hipshot. Merlin has been requested to shoot them on sight and Hipshot has a necktie party planned for them!
That's all of the fan news for this week. Here's wishing you another blessed week ahead.
